'The world's biggest lying down Buddha'
The same day I was leaving Mawlamyine (time flies here and I realized I had less than two weeks left on my trip, so I just booked a bus that would take me up north - so I randomly chose a bus ticket to Pyin Oo Lwin) I met a girl from France while I was having breakfast. A girl named Pauline who was out on her first solo trip, so we started talking a bit and it turned out it was her birthday that day (last Monday) so we decided to hang out until my bus left in the afternoon.
We had both read about the biggest lying down Buddha statue that was close to Mawlamyine, so we took moto taxi and bus to get over there together! It was indeed very impressive to see (especially the 500 statues that led you to the different pagoda, every statue has a different face too), but the best part of the day was to meet each other, we had really great talks and we both separated with really good energies :) good day!

In our book it said that there were two lying down Buddha statues, and one sitting up, but we could only find one lying down... Until we saw this haha, maybe it should say 'under construction'!

Thank you for this beautiful day, spirit!
