Visiting Yellows' childhood village

This was easily the best day on my Burma trip so far - visiting the village where Yellow grew up! The reason she brought me here was because her cousins is graduating high school and will soon move on the university, this is something they celebrate greatly in Burma. The whole village had moved up to the monastery for the ceremony and then we all had a big meal together.

Many people in this village have never interacted with a foreigner before because it lies far away from nearest city, so they were all very welcoming and found it exciting to have me there. Me on the other hand couldn't stop smiling, the beauty in all these people keep blowing me away and even though they keep telling me how beautiful I am and how I look like a priness (haha) all I can see are their beautiful souls.. It was an amazing day!

As usual Yellow arranged vegetarian food for me and told me the women of the village were really respectful towards vegetarians, I got this amazing dish with kale/leaf cabbage, union and more, delicious!

I was asked to be in the photo with some of the graduated buddhist monks before we left :)
